Job Overview
We are seeking a driven, creative person to join our team of pathfinders. This position is for a highly motivated and experienced market researcher to lead and conduct research projects primarily but not exclusively for the public sector (including clients in the Energy/Environment and Health sectors).
The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, multilingual, a superb writer, communicator, forward-looking, and a consummate team player.

What will you be doing?
- Oversee, manage and own all aspects of assigned syndicated and custom market research projects;
- proposal/bid phase
- survey development
- field management
- data processing
- analysis
- report writing (written and visual), and
- presenting
- Conduct primarily quantitative research but also contribute to qualitative projects where required;
- Work both independently and as part of a team;
- Act as a responsive and trusted advisor/consultant to clients in the context of research projects, and generate strong client relationships and delivery skills that lead to repeat business;
- Maintain knowledge of trends in public opinion research methods and data analysis techniques; and
- Maintain a strong understanding of public policy.
What do I need to be able to demonstrate?
- 7-10 years of relevant experience;
- A full set of quantitative research skills;
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills;
- high level of skill in writing (in English)
- provide a high level of direction to internal data visualization experts
- Strong grasp of trends and current affairs;
- Fluency in French (spoken and read) is an asset;
- Graduate degree in a related field such as public policy, political science, economics, human behaviour or a social science discipline;
- Ability and willingness to travel as required, which may involve overnight stays; and
- Well organized for working remotely.
Compensation
- The compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
- The compensation package includes standard benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance.
- An annual bonus based on the candidate’s personal and corporate performance is offered.

- Developing and writing discussion and interview guides;
- Analyzing data and commentary;
- Writing reports (in both text and graphic form) summarizing the findings;
- Collaborating with other researchers and team members on both qualitative as well as quantitative research projects;
- Developing knowledge of trends in public opinion research methods and data analysis techniques; and
- Developing a strong understanding of public policy.
What do I need to be able to demonstrate?
- Fluency in both English and French;
- 3-5 years’ experience in qualitative research;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- A full set of qualitative research skills (especially automated qualitative analysis tools and text analytics);
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills;
- high level of skill writing (in English)
- provide a high level of direction to internal data visualization experts
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as public policy, political science, economics, or a social science discipline;
- Ability and willingness to travel to conduct qualitative research as required, which may involve overnight stays; and
- Well organized for working remotely.
