Hugh Anderson brought six years of practising civil litigation in downtown
Toronto to his position at The Strategic Counsel when he joined
the firm in 1995. He sees a clear parallel between law and research: practitioners
in both fields not only need to marshall a wide range of facts but must
also be able to interpret them to serve their clients needs.
Hugh has a particular interest in policy-driven research, and his clients
include the Law Society of Upper Canada, for which he has assessed stakeholders
views of paralegal services. In conjunction with Strategic Counsel
partner Michael Sullivan, he has also completed projects for Ryerson Polytechnic
University, the University of Western Ontario and the Canada Mortgage
and Housing Corporation.
Hugh believes that one of the many pleasures afforded by his work is
"having a new canvas to paint on a regular basis."
