Daniel Marcotte, Senior Associate

Daniel Marcotte is passionate about understanding people and how they make decisions. He is a native French speaker, born and raised in Quebec, who studied Psychology at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke before moving to Toronto to do his MBA at Schulich at York University.  With this academic background, he combined his interest in identifying insights into the human psyche with the need of every business and organization to connect with people at an emotional level.

He started his career on the supplier side of research (TNS, Ipsos, GfK), including a 2-year assignment in Geneva, starting their new Ipsos office to service the P&G European headquarter research needs, managing numerous multi-country studies.  He later transitioned to the client-side of research & insights working for large food CPG companies (ConAgra, Nestlé) where he helped them understand their consumers’ wants & needs, improve their marketing communication, and develop new innovations.  He is a skilled story teller who knows the true value of an insight lies in how well it motivates the audience to take action.

In his spare time, Daniel coaches kids sports, plays hockey, grows food in his garden and is the head chef and sommelier in his own home.
